This year Singapore celebrates 50 years of independence which falls on 09 August 2015. This Golden Jubilee event will take place at both Padang and the Marina Bay floating platform. Our school is among the first batch to attend the National Eduction (NE) Show on 11 July 2015 to sneak preview the grand show at Padang.
Here we are at the Padang waiting for the show to start on a Saturday evening.
The Padang field is transformed into a stage with rows of seats in different colour zones.
Each of us is given with a bento dinner to consume before the show starts so we have to eat it before 5pm, go toilet visit and get ready for the show.
Red Lions always surprise the crowds during National Day Parade and here is a photo of their jump making grand entrances at the Padang.
During the air show you will see our National Flag Flypast across the Padang to the Marina Bay floating platform.
One of the NDP 2015 highlight is Aerial Ballet which features more than 10 types of aircraft from the Republic of Singapore Air Force. Above shows twenty F-16 jets forming the number 50 and vertical climbs during the performance.
Integrated Show that first start with our forefathers who came from different lands to sink their roots showing how the pioneering generation laid the foundation for our current Progress and Strength.
Military Tanks from our Singapore Armed Forces marching pass the Padang. Sad that I cannot spot the Leopard 2-SG Main Battle Tank.
Fireworks display is a highlight of every National Day Parade and we love to see the colourful display and everyone sings in high spirits.
To celebrate Singapore 50th Birthday other than those who attend the National Day shows, every Singaporean and permanent resident household will each receive a fun pack too. With 50 different design printed on the bag which is your favourite.

Dear Mr. Rey,
ReplyDeleteI am writing to you to request for permission to use your image for educational purposes. HandsonLearning Strategies is a content curating company that is based in Singapore and we would greatly appreciate it if you would kindly grant us permission to use your image.
We are using the image for a National Museum tour for students. Your image would be particularly beneficial to the learning of the students as we could use it to show a comparison between the past 1966 Singapore National Day Parade and the present 2015 National Day Parade.
We are looking at the first picture from the top. http://reyonwongrh.blogspot.sg/2015/07/singapore-national-day-2015.html
We would credit you in full.
Hope to hear from you soon!
Thank you!
